Yesterday, John Carroll hosted its first Home Track Meet in over twenty-some years. After having their Track renovated, they now no longer have to travel to Case Western 2-3 times per week to practice. Congratulations to them on finally having a home track to be proud of!
As most of you know, getting to the meet took a rather long time. We departed from B-W at approximately 9:30 a.m. and stopped to get breakfast at McDonald's/Dunkin' Donuts (I know, right?) Then, at approximately
10:53 a.m., we continued our journey to John Carroll University..
Are you kidding me?

Dusan's Performance Brings
Coach 'T' to his Feet |
With limited time to warm up, Jumps found difficulties being effective. I, for one, did not even get a mark. However, Dusan Vasic began to plot his revenge on the bus. He carried out his master plan effectively by setting a PR in the Steeple Chase (shattering his previous PR by 15 seconds!) and by running extremely well in the 4x800 relay to allow the team to place 3rd. Way to go Dusan! On the women's side, the sprinters proved dominant by placing in the relay, 100m dash, 200m dash and in the Hurdles. Lastly, a special shout out to Shaina Kovatch for winning the 5k on her birthday!
The Throwers also did an exceptional job. Zac Marinucci had a Personal Best in the discus with a distance of
50.46 50.26 meters (according to TFRRS) and Danielle and Leslie went 1, 2 in the Shot Put. For the B-W News Release go to

while the Men throw things |
Other than the fact that this was just another meet, I think that the cold brought us all just a little bit closer together for the day. Team Bonding was a lot of fun this weekend and I think I speak for all of us when I say that.
Oh, and I took 7th in the Javelin and scored 2 pts. What up?!
